Husker Cat Allies

More feral cats and kittens are living on UNL’s campus than ever before. Colonies live in sewers and on the grounds from the Lied Center and Love Library to the stadium to the Health Center. The population is growing uncontrolled and so are the problems—both for the cats and the campus.

We are in the organizational stages and invite you join us by:

  1. BulletAttending meetings and offering your ideas

  2. BulletDonating money, supplies or time to serve on subgroups that will             survey the colonies, feed, trap, raise funds, research, plan, promote,     etc.

  3. BulletRecommending others to join our efforts

Husker Cats is a newly formed, independent group of faculty, staff and student volunteers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln working to ensure a high quality life for cats living in feral colonies on campus.

We invite you to submit your Husker Cat photos in our PHOTOS section!

UNL is permitting Husker Cats, a group of faculty, staff, and student volunteers, to help stabilize the feral cat population on our campus. Husker Cats is operating in agreement with, but not funded by UNL.

Want to get involved with Husker Cats? Join us for our first public organizational meeting, Wednesday, October 29 at noon in the Nebraska Union (room posted).
